Conference FAQ

What is the dress attire?
Business casual attire is appropriate for all attendees. Dress comfortably, but remember you will be networking and will want to make a good impression. Because meeting rooms are often cold, you may wish to bring a jacket or sweater. 

Where should I park and is there a parking fee?
Both Friday October 20th and Saturday October 21st parking is available at 5998 Alcalá Park
San Diego, CA 92110
West Parking Structure.

Please use validation code (Will be provided 1 month before event) with parking authorities. After parking you can board the free shuttle which will bring you up the hill and drop you in front of the event venue, Joan B. Kroc School for Peace and Studies.

Where are the closest restrooms?
Restrooms are available throughout Joan B. Kroc School for Peace and Studies

Where is the ATM?
On campus ATM’s can be found at the following locations

  • Bert’s Bistro
  • Jenny Craig Pavilion
  • Hahn University Center

I will need a Certificate of Attendance in order for my employer to reimburse me. How do I get one?
Certificates of Attendance will be available upon request at the Registration table.

How many PDUs will I receive for attending conference activities?
The number of PDUs awarded varies for each activity.  There are a total of TBD PDUs available for attending the maximum number of sessions Friday – Saturday October 20th and 21st

How do I claim PDUs for the conference?  How do I file for PDUs?
PDUs will be uploaded for you by Conference staff into PMI's Continuing Certifications Requirements System (CCRS) within two weeks of the close of conference for all sessions. It is each attendee’s individual responsibility to sign in for all instructional sessions they attend (Keynotes and Breakouts Sessions).   You may submit a claim manually for any missing PDUs by using the corresponding PDU claim code found in your conference proceedings guide. Enter your claim code on the PMI website at to claim your PDUs.   Instructions for self-reported PDUs, will also be available on site at the registration area.  Please be sure to maintain your activity schedule and Certificate of Attendance for validation purposes in the case of random audit.

How can I download the slide presentations from the conference?
Breakout session presentation slides are available to, and for the use of, registered conference attendees only.  Presentations will be uploaded the day of and the day after conference and will be available for approximately two weeks thereafter.
