Main Presentation: The Strategic Advantage of Purposeful Project Management in an Age of Social Good
Presented by: Todd Greenwood, PMP, CSM

Abstract: In a time of constant business transformation and a workforce motivated by purpose, how does today’s PM align those ever changing objectives? A purpose-driven company has been defined as one that has "an important objective and creates meaningful impact for stakeholders” - those stakeholders being customers, employees, their communities, and investors. With technology being a widespread disruptor, the business landscape is rapidly changing and making some companies obsolete almost overnight.

Todd will offer examples of companies who have successfully deployed this philosophy, provide solid strategies on how to win over a purpose-focused employees, and illustrate key best practices on how to active purpose onto your project and into your organization. Todd Greenwood’s innovative and entrepreneurial spirit guided him to create Titanium Cobra Solutions, a company committed to client service, exceptional quality and leading edge innovations. He offers over 25 years of seasoned leadership, human capital strategy, project management and IT engineering experience. Todd served over 20 years in the United States Navy, is a combat veteran and attributes much of his out-of-the-box creativity, appreciation for workforce diversity, and overall business success to his military service. His passion to help military veterans is evident in both his personal and professional life. He has had a long and rewarding relationship with the Project Management Institute and PMI San Diego Chapter, as volunteer newsletter editor, PMI Mentor, Conference speaker, and VP of Communications. Mr. Greenwood's company is also a PMI San Diego Chapter sponsor, 2018 Conference sponsor, and a CAPM/PMP/PMI-ACP training partner in support of the Professional Development Team.

Todd is an active member with the SCRUM Alliance International, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), and the National Defense Industry Association (NDIA). Mr. Greenwood continues to pursue his passion for teaching effective problem solving techniques with technology, organizational constructions, and human relationships through public speaking events, organizational training seminars, executive coaching sessions, and as an adjunct instructor for the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) Extension and California State University, San Marcos (CSUSM) Extended Learning.
