Collaboration Saturday – Scheduling Tools – Part 1

Description:
Managing Projects with Scheduling Software. This event applies to users of MS Project 2016/2013 and Primavera P6 V8/15/16.1
Course will help participants to learn capabilities of Windows based applications for project planning, scheduling, control and analysis then navigate through the software. After successful completion of this course, you will be able to create a project plan file and enter task information, create a work breakdown structure by organizing tasks and setting task relationships, and personalize the project plan file then set baseline.

Being a part of “Office”, we tend to be self-taught, and consequently, end up as beginners, unable to advance to powerful levels. So why not learn these very powerful tools properly and best practices for application?

  • How the scheduling engine works
  • Screen Navigation
  • Creating a Project File
  • Creating Calendars
  • Creating the WBS and Adding Activities
  • Creating Relationships

Please attend if you have been frustrated by MS Project and you wish to understand input fields and fields calculated by Scheduling Software. Get familiar with the scheduling engine and how Project reacts when task parameters are changed. Learn the proper usage of Calendars, Deadlines, Constraints and Dependencies.
