Collaboration Saturday – Introduction to JIRA

Description:
During this course we will learn about the ins and outs of the Atlassian Jira and Confluence toolset, including terminology, setting up a new project, managing a project and sprints, reporting, metrics, dashboards and much more.

Bio:
Ms. Thessen is a graduate of UC, Santa Barbara. She is an agile Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
Currently she is a Project Manager and Scrum Master at LPL Financial Services focusing on product development used by financial advisors and their clients. Previously she has been a Sr. Project Manager/Scrum Master for RELX/National Regulatory Services, Closing Corp and First Allied Securities.  She started her agile career by happenstance after a waterfall project failure. Her first role on an agile team was a product owner.  Her personal hobbies include spending time with her family and friends, listening to live music, camping, hiking and their rescue cocker spaniel “Lucky.”

WORKSHOP DATES:
Classes held from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays:
July 21, August 4, August 25 and September 8th, 2018. Class size is limited to 16 people. Registration accepted with payment only.

WORKSHOP FEE:
Single workshop registration is $120 for PMI Members and $150 for non-Members. The full four course series is $400 for members or $500 for non-members. Fee must accompany registration.  No walk-in registrations!

WORKSHOP CREDIT:
PDUs are offered for attending this class.

REFUND POLICY:
A full refund, minus a $75 processing fee, will be provided up to one week prior to the first class.  Registered students may provide their seat to another student. If this option is chosen, registration fees will not be refunded by the PMI-San Diego chapter.
