Chapter Special Elections for VP of Programs position

PMI San Diego Chapter Members -

Chapter special elections have begun and your participation in this process is greatly appreciated.


Here is the candidate list:

Chandni Maishery

Chandni Maishery started her career as Quality Analyst with a German-based company. After spending 3 years with the company, she moved to US to pursue her Masters in Information Management where she was inspired to pursue a career in project management.

In her current role at Illumina, she is not just a Business analyst performing day to day tasks but also a Project Manager, a Mentor, and a Subject Matter Expert. With five solid years of experience, Chandni can expertly identify system requirements, which can minimize expenses and at the same time increase the quality or production.



Sherry Remington


Sherry is a certified program and project manager with expertise in process improvement, strategy management, financial management, team leadership training, mentoring, and software implementations.  She worked for 13 years deploying infrastructure programs and implementing and deploying multimillion-dollar strategic initiatives.  Her previous experience was an emphasis on customer relationships, accounting and managing multimillion-dollar municipal contracts.  Her strengths include building effective relationships, successfully implementing program management offices, mentoring and coaching project professionals and successful project implementations. 

Sherry holds PMP, SCPM, and CSM certifications. She volunteers regularly for non-profit organizations.


Melanie Yevilov

Melanie Yevilov is a project/portfolio manager who created value in Genentech’s Oceanside Biologics drug substance manufacturing site by focusing resources on the highest priorities, increasing efficiency through continuous improvement, and reducing risk. Melanie established the Manage Risk program, deployed Roche's lean production system and led engineering and business projects. 

Melanie is a PMP and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt who is currently upgrading to a Six Sigma Black Belt. She wishes to help SD PMI attract members to our enriching events, attract new members, and control costs.  She holds a Bachelor degree in Management from SDSU.



The election period begins Thursday, February 7, 2019 and ends on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 11:59 PT.
