Abstract: What does public policy have to do with PMI? A lot, it seems. If you think you are excluded from Public Policy, think again. Come unravel the mysteries of public policy and share with us the ramifications it has on people, process and projects.

Sylvia Carr is a results-oriented professional with over 15 years' experience leading enterprise wide change by managing multi-functional teams to deliver targeted IT solutions. Sylvia is recognized as a motivating and effective communicator influencing collaboration and recommendation of pragmatic solutions. She delivers business objectives through application of business strategy, efficient business processes, and strong partnering skills. Her leadership experience includes delivery of Health Care/Social Services Solutions, Program Management of R&D teams and ERP Implementations. Sylvia's recent experience includes medical devices and working in a regulated industry, and international experience using her German language skills.

Peggy Bottorf has more than 30 years' experience conducting business analysis, project planning, and project management, managing IT staff and project teams in education, retail, healthcare and government institutions. As a strong and experienced project lead, Peggy is often called upon to transform customer business requirements into functional information systems. Peggy has supervised staff, established QA/QC processes, developed documentation, and delivered training. Her educational preparation has been in Business (MBA), Computer Science (BS), and Education (BS). Her work has included large scale programs leading cross functional teams in highly-matrixed organizations. She is both driven and motivated by customer satisfaction and the opportunity to work toward the betterment of the community.
