Abstract: Come join us at our newest breakfast in the Mission Area! This month's subject is Project Scope Management. Projects start out with a specific goal but at the end, the results don’t always match the goal. In this discussion, we'll discuss all things "SCOPE." The takeaway will be a very robust discussion on reasons why scope creeps - and what can be done to maintain customer expectations.

Stacy Pham has been a Validation Project Manager for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry with experience in leading validation and operations projects. She started her career in downstream processing and fill/finish manufacturing, followed by defining quality controls for a Class 2 Medical Device company. Since then, Ms. Pham has been a part of validating lab instruments, controlled temperature environments (CTEs), autoclaves, purified water tank, and parts washers. At this moment, she holds her PMP certification and has previously endured Yellow Belt Training, Fundamentals of Six Sigma Training, and LEAN Recognition.

As a Biotech Director and Project Manager, Pavel Tsinberg has helmed new product development, initiated and executed multiple projects, and led employees through challenging times. Most recently, he leveraged 20+ years of experience in biotechnology and PMP knowledge to pioneer and launch a game-changing cancer screening device and blood collection tube. Using his technical expertise to help shape main products, he invented and developed a liquid biopsy microfluidic device, blood collection tubes, and diagnostic genomic and proteomic microarrays. He led continuous improvement of the products, leading process, material, and product optimizations. A strong communicator, Pavel has simplied complex biotechnical concepts and connected them to stakeholder goals, nurturing strong relationships with and generate buy-in from leaders, employees, and vendors.
