Abstract: We currently have a career development epidemic unfolding before us. According to Gallup, over 50% of employees are disengaged and considering other job opportunities. Combined with a significant gap in experience between upcoming Millennials destined to replace retiring Boomers, many organizations are at risk for a rude awakening. Who or what’s to blame? Believe it or not, your organization’s talent management habits may be setting up your employees for failure despite your best intentions! In this session Mike Gellman will help you help your employees soar to new heights by sharing lessons learned from nearly 20 years of coaching professionals to reach their potential.

You will learn:

  • 5 common pitfalls to avoid in managing talent that often hinder high potential engagement and mobility
  • 5 strategic best practices and programs you can implement to accelerate development of your key employees
  • A career management model you can introduce within your organization to help employees take greater ownership of their development.

Mike Gellman helps clients create the necessary clarity, confidence, and capacity to achieve amazing levels of success and satisfaction. He’s the author of Pipe Dreams: 7 Pipelines of Career Success and CEO of High Five Career Coaching.
