 Project Communications in a Covid19 World

Abstract: Communication is the lifeblood of project management. When all communication is virtual, maintaining unambiguous project communication between team members and stakeholders becomes even more crucial. This presentation will explore some of the latest research into project communication, both pre Covid19 and post Covid19, and examine the implications this has for today’s project managers.

Dr. Fryer has 20 years of executive level experience as a CEO, CIO, and CTO, managing technology operations in both the government and private sectors. His experience includes supporting millions of concurrent customers and users in multi-geographically dispersed data centers. He has extensive experience managing, implementing, supporting, and selling SaaS software solutions, as well as integration with multiple platform partners. He specializes in process improvement, cost reduction, customer service, sales, and product line enhancement.

Currently, Dr. Fryer is teaching graduate engineering courses at UCR and proctoring students for their graduate engineering projects. He is currently working on his 2nd Ph.D. and is currently working on his doctoral thesis in Project Management Communication. Dr. Fryer holds multiple US Patents in software security, software processes, and computer information technology. Additionally, Dr. Fryer served in the USAF as a systems engineer, and is a Gulf War Veteran.
